One person rowing can beat two people paddling.  So why are you still paddling your canoe?  With this attachment, your canoe can be like a rowing shell.   Don't think stodgy, slow rowboat.  You'll be amazed how  your canoe flies easy across the water under oar power.  And rowing is great exercise, because it uses your big muscles, it's balanced (not a twisting motion like paddling) and it is fun so you'll actually do it.    Row trolling is a great way to fish.  Teach you kids to row.   Do river float trips with complete control, even solo.    Get two sets, like in the picture, and row with a partner!   Discount applies for orders of 2 sets or more.

The key to efficient rowing is getting the oarlocks out far enough from your body to give you good leverage.   Canoes with oarlocks are too narrow for efficient rowing.  This attachment gets the oarlock out an additional foot on each side.
Since one person rowing beats two paddling, imagine how much better solo rowing is than solo paddling!
What's included:  Clamp-on 40-inch aluminum crossbar, clamps, rowing outriggers, oarlock sockets (accept half-inch pin), pair of 7-foot oars, and 2 clamp-on oarlocks.    If you have an especially wide or narrow canoe, you can request a shorter  crossbar (36" or 30") or longer one (46"), but since the clamps can slide along the crossbar to adjust to canoe width, the 40-incher will fit most canoes.
Compact and lightweight:  The whole rig weighs less than 15 pounds, including oars, crossbar, clamps, oarlocks, outriggers.   All parts are under 4 feet when broken down.
